Uttar Pradesh Police – Doubt Over DGP Of Uttar Pradesh, IPS Mukul Goyal To Be New Police Chief – Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Mukul Goyal are going to be the new captain (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh . Orders are issued for the posting of Mukul Goyal as DGP. Goyal will now replace DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi who is retiring today on Wednesday.

Union Public Service Commission had sent a panel of three names to the government for subsequent chief of Uttar Pradesh Police i.e. DGP. 3 names were being discussed for the post of UP DGP. during this panel, the name of IPS Nasir Kamal, Mukul Goyal posted at the middle , besides DG EOW RP Singh within the state was included. Mukul Goyal has won. However, 1987 batch IPS Mukul Goyal was believed to be the DGP.

Posted as ADG in BSF

IPS Mukul Goyal is currently posted in Chandigarh as ADG in BSF. Goyal will retire in February 2024. He features a tenure of about two and a half years.

Mukul Goyal had been ADG Law and Order for an extended time within the previous Akhilesh Yadav government. During the Muzaffarnagar riots, Mukul Goyal was made ADG Law and Order after removing Arun Kumar.

Goyal was SSP in many cities

Mukul Goyal was the SSP in many districts of Uttar Pradesh for an extended time. along side being the SSP of Azamgarh, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Saharanpur, Mukul Goyal was also the DIG of Kanpur, Agra and Bareilly.

The current DGP of Uttar Pradesh Hitesh Chandra Awasthi is retiring today on Wednesday. Awasthi will now get replaced by Goyal. On the opposite hand, in Uttar Pradesh today (June 30) on Wednesday, not only the DGP, 21 cops also are retiring. These include 9 IPS and 12 PPS officers.

The 21 cops also include officers from the UP cadre and therefore the Provincial Police Service. The retiring IPS officers include 2 DG rank officers, 2 IG rank, 3 DIG rank and a couple of SP rank officers.
