According to the knowledge received , the police had received information that some people are standing with women in Vipul khand of Gomtinagar and are expecting an individual . These were all suspects who are probably standing there for his or her customers.
Lucknow Police reached the spot as soon because the news was received. When the police tried to speak to those people, they tried to run away. After which the police laid siege and caught them. The five people came into the custody of the police.
According to commissioner DK Thakur, “These people wont to bring minor girls from Assam to Lucknow in their faith, keep them with them for a couple of days. They were then sent to human trafficking and made into prostitution. This gang also includes 2 women and three men. Now of these are being arrested and further action is being taken.
