Jitin Prasad is that the son of veteran Congress leader Jitendra Prasad. Jitendra Prasad was the political advisor to 2 prime ministers (Rajiv Gandhi and PV Narasimha Rao). In 2000, Jitendra Prasad contested the election of Congress President against Sonia Gandhi, but he was defeated. Jitendra Prasad gave up the ghost in 2001.
