The MP MLA court has agreed to withdraw the case against Uttar Pradesh’s sugarcane minister Suresh Rana and MLA from Sardhana area Sangeet Som, accused of inciting Muzaffarnagar riots and making inflammatory speeches. Actually on 27 August 2013, my brothers Sachin and Gaurav, who belonged to Malikpura area, were murdered. In protest against this, a mahapanchayat was held in Nangla Mandoud in September 2013. A riot broke call at the district only after this panchayat.
The police included Suresh Rana, who is now the sugarcane minister of the Uttar Pradesh government, while Sangeet Som is an MLA from Sardhana area. aside from this, a lawsuit was filed against former Bijnor MP Bharatendra Singh, Sadhvi Prachi, Shyampal for creating inflammatory speeches. At that point a case was registered against a complete of 11 people.
The Uttar Pradesh government had approved the withdrawal of those cases this year. After which an application was filed within the court under section 321 of CRPC in order that these cases are often cleared from the court. By giving orders on this, the court has ended the case against both the people.
Let us tell you that the Yogi government had recently decided to withdraw the case filed against UP cabinet ministers Suresh Rana, MLAs Sangeet Som and Kapil Dev. Public advocate Rajiv Sharma petitioned for withdrawal of the case in Muzaffarnagar’s ADJ court.
How was the riot provoked
On August 27, 2013, two youths named Sachin and Gaurav were beaten to death by a mob in Kawal village. A young man named Shahnawaz Qureshi was accused of killing Sachin and Gaurav. After this incident, a Mahapanchayat was convened by the Jat community at Nagla Mandor Village Inter College on the day of seven September 2013. it’s believed that a riot broke call at Muzaffarnagar after this panchayat.
